A couple of weeks ago, something extraordinary happened. I bumped into an old colleague, Zane Hema, one of the talented trainers I worked with during my time as the Director of Signamic in the UK. The moment we made eye contact, we just burst into laughter—one of those rare connections where no words are needed, just pure, unspoken joy. Oh, the times we had! Teaching together was like a well-choreographed dance, except we couldn’t stop cracking up at random moments. Thankfully, we kept things professional (most of the time!), but my goodness, it was fun.

As we reminisced, we brought up so many stories and anecdotes from our days at Signamic—stories that felt like they had been tucked away in the attic of my mind, gathering dust. We didn’t just talk about the work (although there was plenty of that). No, we talked about the laughter, the camaraderie, and how Signamic wasn’t just another training centre—it was a hub of excellence. We weren’t about quantity, churning out graduates left and right. No, we focused on quality, ensuring every student walked away with top-tier skills and knowledge. That’s what set us apart.

We chatted about the courses we offered—everything from BSL qualifications to teacher training, mentoring programs, and CPDs for professionals. It got me thinking: Do I have any memorabilia of Signamic left? Surely, I must! So, when I got home, I dug through my old hard drives, and lo and behold—I found it! There, in a folder buried under layers of digital clutter, was everything: course outlines, old presentations, documents, photos—you name it. It felt like opening a time capsule. As I clicked through file after file, a rush of emotions hit me. It was like reliving a whole chapter of my life in mere minutes.

And then, I found it—the Signamic Prospectus from 2013-14. Oh, the memories! I flipped through the pages, my brain ping-ponging between “Did I really do all this?!” and “Wow, I forgot how much we accomplished!” It was like seeing my career flash before my eyes. I remembered not only being the Director but also juggling roles as a trainer, teacher, assessor, and, at times, even the IT support guy (yes, there were hats galore!). I couldn’t help but want to preserve this piece of history, so I decided to send it off to Officeworks to get it printed. Now, I have a shiny, fresh copy of the prospectus, and it’s attached right here for you to read. Go on, have a look—I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Looking back, my time at Signamic was more than just work—it was a journey filled with triumphs, challenges, laughter, and an immense sense of pride. It’s funny how reconnecting with someone from your past can unlock a treasure trove of memories. Who knows, maybe it’s time to dust off more old folders and keep reminiscing.

Here’s to the memories and to the laughter that never fades. Let me know what you think of the prospectus—who knows, maybe it’ll inspire you to start your own memory search!
